SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.25 g, 6 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris II, circa 296/5-281. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ΣEΛEΥKOΥ Athena, brandishing spear overhead in her right hand and holding shield in her left, standing right in quadriga of elephants moving to right; above to right, anchor right and monogram of HPA. SC 130.25. WSM 1626a. Beautifully toned. A few minor marks, otherwise, good very fine.
